DescriptionChinese porcelain ewer of pear shape, with the flared mouth neck and pinched spout. It has a slender curved lower spout supported with a scrolled strut, and loop handle. Decorated in underglaze blue, the neck has a stylized tulip plant, above a flowerhead and scrollwork band. It has a continuous scene of a scholar on a rocky terrace and the reverse with two children bearing a dish and a robe in a rocky landscape, and above a lappet border.
