DescriptionPair of Arita oviform ewers with loop handle. They are decorated in iron-red, green and blue enamels on underglaze blue with panels of chrysanthemum divided by narrow bands of flowerheads and scrolling foliage. The cup-shaped mouth above the waisted neck has cascading stylized flowerheads and foliage, and the handles are similarly decorated with a hole for a silver cover attachment.
