DescriptionA Meissen Hausmaler tea bowl and saucer decorated in the workshop of Metzsch at Bayreuth. There is a shepherdess playing a mandolin in a pasture with a church in the background. The reverse of the cup has figures in landscapes, within gilt scroll and coloured flower borders. The rims have baroque scrollwork in iron-red and gilding.
