DescriptionBayreuth Hausmaler tea bowl and saucer, enamelled by J. F. Metzsch. It has chinoiserie scenes within elaborate borders of Laub-und Bandelwerk and feathery scrolls in iron-red, purple and gilding. The cup is painted on the outside with a spider, cobweb and a fly. The gilt and Schwarzlot borders are typical of this workshop,
