DescriptionChinese coffee cup and saucer with German Hausmaler decoration by Metzsch at Bayreuth. Both pieces are painted with figures in a harbour and with boats. The borders are decorated with shells and various fish. Two bunches of flowers are tied with ribbons at either side of the handle. The handle and rims are gilded. The underside of the saucer and base of the cup have two red lines of decoration.
