DescriptionMeissen teapot and cover with Bayreuth 'Hausmaler' in the manner of J. F. Metzsch. It is decorated with panels of landscapes within borders in gilding and purple with leaf-scrolls in iron-red, purple, yellow, black and gilt. The cover has scattered insects in colours above a gilt-scroll border. The curved spout has a grotesque-mask terminal and a gilt-metal mount.
