DescriptionMeissen jug and cover decorated after an engraving by Johann Schmischek. It has a bird's head scroll in purple, green and yellow entwined with leafy branches and enclosing a purple bracket supporting a stag confronting a dog. This is below a border of perlmutt with gilt florettes and between underglaze-blue lines. The cover has underglaze-blue and coloured indianische blumen, Augsburg, silver-gilt mounts by Elias Adam.
