DescriptionMeissen yellow-ground écuelle and cover, each piece reserved within puce line borders with four quatrefoil panels of chinoiserie figures at various pursuits. It is painted in the manner of Johann Gregor Horoldt. The bowl has shell-moulded handles heightened in gilding, and the cover with a gilt ball knob rising from a gilt-edged roundel containing three chinoiserie vignettes.
Meissen yellow-ground plate, the stand for the écuelle and cover. The exterior is decorated with rich yellow ground, and the interior painted in the centre and around the rim in the manner of Johann Gregor Horoldt. It is with chinoiserie vignettes, and the centre also with Kakiemon floral sprigs, and the edge with a gilt line border issuing four gilt floral and leaf-scroll clusters.
