It is  painted in the manner of Johann Gregor Horoldt. The bowl has shell-moulded handles heightened in gilding, and the cover with a gilt ball knob rising from a gilt-edged roundel containing three chinoiserie vignettes.

Meissen yellow-ground plate, the stand for the écuelle and cover. The exterior is decorated with rich yellow ground, and the interior painted in the centre and around the rim in the manner of Johann Gregor Horoldt.
