DescriptionA garniture of three Sèvres vases (vases "têtes de morues" and vase "chinois nouvelle forme"). The centre vase has a cover, egg-shaped with sharply projecting gilt bronze finial forms the knob, above the moulded fringe of the top cover. The handles are formed by coloured mandarin heads above tapered supports each hung with a bell and two tasselled cords, and the foot is circular. Pale yellow ground with gilded decoration and reserves painted in polychrome colours and gold with Chinese figures under parasols and Chinese buildings.

The pair of side vases, each with oval body and tall beaker-like neck and trumpet-shaped mouth. The two gilded handles on the shoulders in the form of dolphins' heads raised on twin fins, holding a gilt circular hoop in their mouths. Decorated in a similar manner with chinoiserie panels on a pale yellow ground.
