DescriptionMeissen purple ground octagonal coffee pot and cover. It is decorated with panels painted with harbour scenes, figures and ships on one side, and with a bridge over a river on the other side, and figures and cattle waling along the bank. The scroll handle has a painted flower spray, and the spout and knops are gilded. Painted by C.F. Herold.
