DescriptionBulbous oval bowl with projecting spout, C-shaped handle with scroll on top, and domed oval foot. Over-all low relief pattern of v-shaped leaf scales (somewhat like an artichoke) projecting downwards and continuing to the top of the foot. Oblong oval cartouches surrounded by low-relief Rococo S-scrolls to sides and smaller, vertical ones below spout and in back of handle. Painted in over-glaze enamel colours: pale turquoise green to the S-scrolls and ornamental scroll on the handle; in polychrome, 3 exotic birds in boughs to the reserve on one side, large single one in boughs on the other, butterflies and insects to the front and back reserves and two butterflies and two "wasps" around the plain area of the lower foot. Reddish brown enamel painted around the top rim of the bowl.
