DescriptionA Staffordshire Slipware octagonal dish, moulded with four fleur de lys and four pomegranates. A central tulip shaped motif is supporting a fan-shaped fountain within a circle, with initials for the potter John Simpson. The border has eight circles and dash motifs, and it is decorated in cream and chocolate glaze, with the underside unglazed.
