DescriptionLarge Maya painted tripod bowl, Late Classic period, with heavy rattle legs, flanged rim, and cylindrical sides. The exterior has two panels of curling, interlooping lozenges, other geometric designs, and two narrower panels of angular scroll motif within zig-zag borders. The interior rim has angular fret and step decoration. It is painted in deep orange, grey, black and brownish-orange.
