DescriptionBöttger Hausmaler teapot and cover of small ovoid size with faceted curved spout, wishbone handle and flat cover. It is decorated in Augsburg probably in the workshop of Abraham Seuter with two oval panels painted in Schwarzlot and iron-red. It is showing a woman shaving a man on one side and people seated at a table smoking on the reverse. Both scenes reserved on a ground of gilt scrollwork including dots and arrows.
