DescriptionBahia seated mother and child figure, Los Esteros, Reginal Development period, holding the sleeping infant in both hands to her chest. Her straight legs are extended forward, and she has a pierced mouth and bulging eyes. The figure is wearing a skirt with geometric ornamentation, broad collar, domed headdress with outward-turned brim, and dotted earrings. It is painted in brownish-red, ochre, blue, green, and white.
