DescriptionMaya seated aged warrior figure, Jaina, Late Classic period, holding a circular shield against his right leg, and his left arm resting on his raised knee and is draped by a cloak. He has a jovial expression with a large open mouth showing two remaining teeth. The figure has sunken cheeks, small squinting eyes, and wrinkled forehead, and is wearing sashed loin-cloth, with plaits down his chest and short beard. The paint is red, yellow and blue pigment.
