DescriptionWith Personnages, Picasso used his typical wit and extraordinary graphic skill to create a figure within a face. The design is identified by Alain Ramiés (son of Madoura founders, Georges and Suzanne Ramiés) as plate #243, of which 150 works were issued. Madoura
stopped making Picasso editions in 1971. There is still a dearth of scholarship on the edition works, perhaps because Picasso rarely worked on the edition pieces himself as he gave permission to the pottery to produce his designs.
