DescriptionTwo Meissen Hausmaler quatrefoil trays, painted in the atelier of Franz Mayer of Pressnitz. There is a campaign scene of three Hussars on horseback before ruins, and a river and fortress within a gilt line border. Issuing at the centre of each lobe is a pentagonal medallion of scale work and scrolling foliage. There is the Sulkowski-moulded rim, with two gilt upright scroll handles.
