DescriptionA Meissen tureen and cover from the Mollendorf Service, decorated in iron-red, gilding and bright colours with the so-called Preussisch-Musikalische Dessin. It is showing peonies beneath a border of mosaic and moulded panels with musical, astronomical and military trophies. The cover is surmounted by a lady seated amongst fruit and flowers, and the scroll handles have sprigs of flowers.
