DescriptionA Meissen Augustus Rex powdered lilac-ground Chinoiserie baluster vase. It is reserved with two oblong octagonal panels of chinoiserie figures seated in gardens with exotic birds, flowering plants and slaying dragons by J.G. Herold and J.E. Stadler within gilt surrounds. The short tapering cylindrical neck painted with sprays of indianische Blumen, on Louis XV scrolling foliage ormolu base.
