DescriptionMaya incised covered dish, Early Classic period, with ring foot, cylindrical sides, surmounted by a conical-shaped lid. The lid has an avial head as handle, with wide notched beak, ridged eyes and crest, domed sides incised with outspread wings. Painted in black with traces of red pigment.
