DescriptionHand-raised red earthenware body covered in cream slip. Painted in green and brown slip with large blades of grass with a butterfly in two tones of brown having yellow and blue details. Blue and brown bands to base and rim.

A cylindrical ewer, painted in coloured slips with butterfly and grasses. English, Watcombe Pottery Company, operating 1867-1901. Incised numerical coding on the bottom suggests a date of 1885.
