DescriptionMaya (Honduran) painted tripod vase, Ulua Valley, Late Classic period, with two standing deities with feline heads, leaning forward, each holding a long snake with multi-curling tongues and stingers (?). They are wearing elaborate regalia and ornamentation, separated by diagonal bands with various emblems and band above of similar design. It is painted in red, tan, brown, and orange on a black ground.
