DescriptionThe companion Faenza pharmacy jar and domed cover with vase finial painted with St. Catherine of Alexandria standing between two soldiers seated beneath a tent reserved on a quartieri ground. It is painted with panels of scrolling foliage and dolphins. The contents are named in Gothic script on a ribboned scroll in blue. The covers are reserved with two classical busts.
