DescriptionBow porcelain teapot and cover with raised and painted coloured flowers. Within a moulded cartouche is a spray of carnations and different flowers on the obverse side. Around the collar and lid is a band of rouge-de-fer leaves touched with gilding. It is globular form with a scroll-moulded handle and spout, and the body has scroll and foliate-moulded cartouches on the side, enclosing a loose bouquet on one side and a carnation sprig on the reverse. Each cartouche is flanked on either side with embossed yellow flowers with red centres. It is also painted with a scattered heartsease, carnation bud and dragonfly. The cover has repeated decoration and flower bud finial. The borders has garlands of iron-red leaves and flowerheads with gilded centres.
