DescriptionPair of Nymphenburg sweetmeat dishes with male and female Nubian figures. Each figure is semi-reclining on rockwork with legs extended and leaning on an inverted pear-shaped moulded sweetmeat basket and cover reserved with quatrefoil cartouches of flowers at the opposing side. The basket is resting on a grassy mound, and the flower finial enriched in puce. The figure's feet are supported on the gilt-enriched scroll end of the rocaille-moulded base.
