DescriptionHarlequin and Columbine mounted on a white base with four scroll feet embellished with gilding. The young girl is turned to the left to face her partner, holding the side of her skirt with her right hand so as to reveal the gold hem of her blue underskirt. She wears an ankle length skirt decorated on a white ground with small sprays of flowers and leaves painted in iron-red and blue, and a puce jacket tied up the front with green laces. Around her neck is tied a green bow. and she is wearing red shoes and a puce flower in her hair. Harlequin, is turned to face Columbine, and is dressed in trousers and jacket with a triangle pattern decorated in green, iron-red, blue, yellow and white. He wears yellow shoes with gold buckles, a white hat and a black mask covering all of his face. In his hands he holds a baton. The tree stump against which the Harlequin leans, and the base, are decorated on a white ground with applied flowers and leaves naturalistically painted in polychrome enamels. The base stands on four feet, one of the scrolls extending across the back, and embellished with gilding.
