DescriptionA delightful pair of hand-modelled bandicoots perch on the lid of this robust jar, which is also distinguished by bold black brushstrokes painted over a white ground. His four-legged animals with pointed snouts loosely resemble a small Australian rodent called bandicoot, hence the name. They are made in the same spirit as the fantastical animals of the Martin Brothers from the Arts and Crafts period.
