His face is partly covered by a black mask and he wears a yellow hat, the brim turned back and edged in puce, trimmed with a white feather.  Round his thigh and partly covered by his tunic he wears a black belt with his slapstick thrust through it.  In his arms he holds a small monkey wrapped in swaddling clothes, pressing it close to his breast.
