Huffman, Wholesale $ Retail, Chemists and Druggists, Front Street, Napanee\". While not makred, this is certainly a Canada West era piece, made by the Picton Potteries. Beautiful chocolate coloured glaze with a slighly metallic finish. I have always appreciated the form and exaggerated mouth on these Picton molasses jugs. Excellent condition with a nearly invisible 3\" hairline at the rear that runs into the base of the handle. This is mentioned for complete accuracy, but it is very minor damage."},"medium":{"label":"Medium","value":"Stoneware"},"onview":{"label":"On View","value":"1"},"media":{"label":"Media","value":{"mediaRenditionNumber":"T10.6.366","publicAccess":"true","mediaImageURL":"https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/29629/full","rank":"0","pixelHeight":"570","pixelWidth":"419","mediaID":"29629"}},"title":{"label":"Title","value":"Molasses jug"},"classification":{"label":"Classifications","value":"North American"},"rels":{"label":"Relations","value":"[]"},"subclassification2":{"label":"Sub-classification 2","value":""},"primaryMedia":{"value":"https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/29629/full"},"subclassification3":{"label":"Sub-classification 3","value":""},"collections":{"label":"Collections","value":["The Raphael Yu Collection","19th and early 20th Century Ceramics","Canadian Ceramics in the 1800s","Ceramics for the Canadian Market"]},"geography":{"label":"Geography","value":"Manufactured: Picton, Ontario, Canada"},"culture":{"label":"Culture","value":"Canadian"},"displayDate":{"label":"Date","value":"late 19th century"},"id":{"label":"Id","value":"185672"},"dimensions":{"label":"Dimensions","value":"Overall: 24 × 20 cm (9 7/16 × 7 7/8 in.)"}}]}
