Closed by Henry VIII during the Reformation, it consequently fell into a state of ruin. The decoration shows common features associated with Mary Helen Goodyer’s style, including intricate designs incised into layers of coloured slip and a taste for botanical motifs, here framing the central scene featuring the abbey. George Leighton Parkinson, who collaborated with Goodyer on the vase, specialized in the rendering of such architectural landmarks and English pastoral scenes.</value></field><field label="Collections" name="collections"><value>19th and early 20th Century Ceramics</value><value>Recent Acquisitions - 2020-2022</value></field><field label="Relations" name="rels"><value>[]</value></field><field label="Classifications" name="classification"><value>European Ceramics</value></field><field label="Sub-classification" name="subclassification"><value>English Earthenware</value></field><field label="Sub-classification 2" name="subclassification2"><value/></field><field label="Sub-classification 3" name="subclassification3"><value/></field><field label="Width" name="width"/><field label="Height" name="height"/><field label="Depth" name="depth"/><field label="Id" name="id"><value>181636</value></field><field label="Source ID" name="sourceId"><value>9389</value></field><field label="Culture" name="culture"><value>English</value></field><field label="Markings" name="markings"><value>Impressed with artist monograms</value></field><field label="Media" name="media"><value mediaImageURL="https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/32398/full" rank="0" publicAccess="true" pixelWidth="5511" pixelHeight="7943" mediaCaption="Photographer: Toni Hafkenscheid" mediaRenditionNumber="G21.8.1 (2)" mediaID="32398"/><value mediaImageURL="https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/32397/full" rank="0" publicAccess="true" pixelWidth="5550" pixelHeight="7466" mediaCaption="Photographer: Toni Hafkenscheid" mediaRenditionNumber="G21.8.1 view 3 (2)" mediaID="32397"/><value mediaImageURL="https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/32399/full" rank="0" publicAccess="true" pixelWidth="5691" pixelHeight="7717" mediaCaption="Photographer: Toni Hafkenscheid" mediaRenditionNumber="G21.8.1 view 2 (2)" mediaID="32399"/><value mediaImageURL="https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/32396/full" rank="0" publicAccess="true" pixelWidth="5151" pixelHeight="7260" mediaCaption="Photographer: Toni Hafkenscheid" mediaRenditionNumber="G21.8.1 view 4 (2)" mediaID="32396"/><value mediaImageURL="https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/27892/full" rank="0" publicAccess="true" pixelWidth="3000" pixelHeight="2400" mediaRenditionNumber="G21.8.1 base" mediaID="27892"/></field></object>
