The blue and white panels to the sides with audience scenes on terraces in the Asian style enriched in gold and famille rose enamels. The area below the handles is filled with jardinières with flowering plants issuing from blue rockwork. The border has lappets in iron-red, green and gold and the loop handles with crisply moulded foliage terminals. The flat cover has four dancing boys in a landscape in blue enriched in iron-red and gold around the finial formed as a recumbent boy in puce coat and iron-red Gitterwerk trousers revealing his bottom.
