Still Dances V is from this original series and reveals the characteristic intense gaze and frozen gestures of a fragmented figure comprising clay body and facial parts in different sizes and weights. Stacked on a metal post and top-heavy, it creates the appearance of precariousness. This work references ancient Greek Cycladic sculpture, Romanesque poses of mother and child and other historical representations of women, underscoring objectification while simultaneously emphasizing the diversity of the body and the self.</value></field><field label="Collections" name="collections"><value>Modern and Contemporary Ceramics</value><value>Modern and Contemporary - Canadian</value></field><field label="Relations" name="rels"><value>[]</value></field><field label="Classifications" name="classification"><value>Modern and Contemporary Ceramics</value></field><field label="Sub-classification" name="subclassification"><value>Canadian</value></field><field label="Sub-classification 2" name="subclassification2"><value/></field><field label="Sub-classification 3" name="subclassification3"><value/></field><field label="Width" name="width"/><field label="Height" name="height"/><field label="Depth" name="depth"/><field label="Id" name="id"><value>183160</value></field><field label="Source ID" name="sourceId"><value>5133</value></field><field label="Culture" name="culture"><value>Canadian</value></field><field label="Media" name="media"><value mediaImageURL="https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/15555/full" rank="0" publicAccess="true" pixelWidth="1400" pixelHeight="2000" mediaRenditionNumber="G13.3.1.1-4" mediaID="15555"/></field></object>
