It is stamped \u201cGreetings from Canada\u201d under the base. The imagery is stereotypical of the way in which Europeans perceived Canada and its indigenous people at the time. Betty Sylvester worked as a decorator at Newport and had painted many of Clarice Cliff's famous 'Bizarre Ware' patterns, which were also produced at the pottery."},"medium":{"label":"Medium","value":"Glazed stoneware with hand-painted enamel"},"onview":{"label":"On View","value":"1"},"media":{"label":"Media","value":[{"mediaRenditionNumber":"G12.7.1a-b view 2","publicAccess":"true","mediaImageURL":"https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/10148/full","rank":"0","pixelHeight":"2400","pixelWidth":"3000","mediaID":"10148"},{"mediaRenditionNumber":"G12.7.1a-b","publicAccess":"true","mediaImageURL":"https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/10150/full","rank":"0","pixelHeight":"2400","pixelWidth":"3000","mediaID":"10150"},{"mediaRenditionNumber":"G12.7.1a-b mark","publicAccess":"true","mediaImageURL":"https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/10152/full","rank":"0","pixelHeight":"2400","pixelWidth":"3000","mediaID":"10152"}]},"title":{"label":"Title","value":"\"Greetings from Canada\" teapot"},"classification":{"label":"Classifications","value":"Modern and Contemporary Ceramics"},"people":{"label":"Artist / Maker","value":["Clarice Cliff","M.B.
