The English version of the 1852 play La Dame aux camélias (The Lady of the Camellias) by Alexandre Dumas the Younger, Camille is a tragic love story built around the love of worldly, fashionable Camille (Marguerite Gauthier in the original story) for Armand Duval, a penniless young man. The piece shows Marguerite reclining on a sofa, her body is black, she wears a sparkling green dress, and a pale yellow flower rests below her chin. As in most of Blackburn’s pieces, he used Barbie doll moulds, and adapted them to his pieces.</value></field><field label="Collections" name="collections"><value>Modern and Contemporary Ceramics</value><value>Modern and Contemporary - Canadian</value></field><field label="Relations" name="rels"><value>[]</value></field><field label="Classifications" name="classification"><value>Modern and Contemporary Ceramics</value></field><field label="Sub-classification" name="subclassification"><value>Canadian</value></field><field label="Sub-classification 2" name="subclassification2"><value/></field><field label="Sub-classification 3" name="subclassification3"><value/></field><field label="Width" name="width"/><field label="Height" name="height"/><field label="Depth" name="depth"/><field label="Id" name="id"><value>183045</value></field><field label="Source ID" name="sourceId"><value>330</value></field><field label="Culture" name="culture"><value>Canadian</value></field><field label="Markings" name="markings"><value>Signed "Jeannot 1986: on bottom of base</value></field><field label="Media" name="media"><value mediaImageURL="https://emuseum.gardinermuseum.com/internal/media/dispatcher/4266/full" rank="0" publicAccess="true" pixelWidth="5184" pixelHeight="3456" mediaRenditionNumber="G05.14.1a-b" mediaID="4266"/></field></object>
