DescriptionPair of Hizen covered jars, flat shoulder and short, with a wide neck and underglaze blue used as a patterned border continued from Shoki-Imari style. It is enamelled in red, green and blue with two sprays of peony and pomegranate. The cover is decorated with a bird perched on peony branches.
