DescriptionStaffordshire creamware milk jug with sprigged grapevine decoration. This type of sprigged decoration is associated with Thomas Whildon (1719-1795), a leading figure in the development of the Staffordshire ceramics industry during the 18th century. Sprigged decoration was also used on wares made by Wedgwood and other Staffordshire potteries.
